The web site for Kaon Interactive's multiplayer action tank game Terra: Battle for the Outland has gotten a face-lift.
Kaon has added to its site new features that include a guided tour of Terra gameplay; a daily newspaper publishing reports of battles and clan movements; a list of upcoming events and the Ask Col. Flakk advice column; live stats and map pages delivered using Java; and a link to customer and technical support.
The gameplay of Terra takes place in 2098, 30 years after an asteroid crashed into Earth and wiped out most of the people and natural resources on the planet. A buried, automated military production line called "The Vault" did survive - and that Vault produces the vehicles ofwar used by players.
Gamers can download Terra: Battle for the Outland for free from the Kaon web site; the company is offering unlimited gameplay free for a 30-day trial period. After those 30 days, unlimited Terra gameplay is available for US$9.95 per month, $49.95 for six months, and $89.95 for one year.
