Take-Two Interactive has acquired Scandinavian budget software publisher and distributor FunSoft Nordic A.S. now renamed Jack of All Games Scandinavia. The acquisition is part of Take-Two's plan to expand the European reach of its Jack of All Games business.
FunSoft Nordic A.S. currently operates physical distribution centers and sales and marketing offices in Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Stockholm Sweden and currently distributes products for Mattel, THQ, Ubi Soft and other companies.
"Scandinavia, as a whole, is the fourth largest market in Europe for software, and our operations there will compliment nicely the Jack of All Games branches we have already established in France, the United Kingdom and Australia," said Kelly Sumner, President of Take-Two Interactive Software Europe, Ltd.
Take-Two paid approximately US$1 million in cash and common stock to buy the company.
