In an SEC filing yesterday, Take-Two Interactive announced that its founder, Ryan Brant, had resigned his position with the company. Brant worked as the publisher's vice president of production "in a non-executive capacity" and had been on disability leave since June. The original CEO of the publisher, Brant left that position in 2001, several months before the company's controversial PlayStation 2 game Grand Theft Auto III redefined its role in the industry. He also served as chairman of the board of directors until March of 2004.
