Monday, Take2 Interactive Software announced that it has acquired UK-based company SpiderSoft, Ltd. - developers of Lemmings 2 for Game Boy, Wayne's World 2 for Game Gear, and several other titles for names such as US Gold, Gremlin, Activision, Psygnosis and THQ.
Take 2 renamed SpiderSoft to Tarantula, and it will handle development of at least five Game Boy titles planned for this year as a division of Take 2. Planned are Montezuma's Revenge, In-Fisherman's Bass Hunter and one unnamed original title (all on Game Boy), and Three Lions: The Official England Team Game and Space Station: Silicon Valley (on Game Boy Color).
