Writing on the game's Kickstarter page, the Poland based Superhot Team said fans should expect various free content updates, and added that rewards for early backers will be sent shortly. Then it touched on plans to rebuild the game to work with virtual reality devices.
"Also in the meantime we are constantly working on the Xbox One version of Superhot and doing secretive work on a bunch of grand VR plans," the studio wrote.
"We can't tell you too much but Superhot in VR is going to be fun, oooh so much fun... :)"
It remains unclear which VR device the Superhot team is planning on supporting, be it Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or PlayStation VR. It could be the case that all three will be supported.
Gear VR, which is Samsung's virtual reality platform for mobiles, will not likely be supported.
Superhot is a first-person shooter spun into a puzzle game, where time only moves when the player does. GameSpot's Superhot review described it as a "clever game with deep, hidden elements that require committed and thorough examination."
