Rocksteady's upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been delayed once again, Bloomberg reports.

　　In a new article, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier writes that, according to a person familiar with the matter, the game has been pushed back to later this year. A new release date hasn't been mentioned in the article. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady showed off the game's gameplay during a Sony showcase late last month. As some of you might know, this gameplay showcase wasn't received too well by the community.

　　"Warner Bros. has again delayed a video game based on the Suicide Squad comic book franchise, pushing it from a May release date to later this year, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter", Schreier writes in his article.

　　Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was first slated for a release last year but was later delayed into 2023. Late last year, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. announced that the game would release on May 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. As said, the Bloomberg article doesn't mention a new release date aside from it releasing somewhere later this year. As with all rumors, please take the information above with a pinch of salt. Still, Schreier has been quite accurate with his reports.

　　Officially announced back in 2020, Kill The Justice is an action-adventure shooter that can be played solo or in online co-op.

　　“Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League showcases Rocksteady Studios’ ability to combine masterful storytelling and compelling gameplay based on well-known DC characters,” said David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Games, upon the game's announcement. “The team is creating a genre-defining experience that brings the formidable Suicide Squad to life in a way that has never been done before.”

　　The playable characters featured in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are Harley Quinn (a.k.a. Dr. Harleen Quinzel), the mistress of mayhem; Deadshot (a.k.a. Floyd Lawton), the most dangerous marksman alive; Captain Boomerang (a.k.a. Digger Harkness), Aussie assassin extraordinaire; and King Shark (a.k.a. Nanaue), the demigod humanoid shark and rightful ruler of the seas. Each squad member has their own unique moveset with enhanced traversal abilities to freely explore the dynamic open-world of Metropolis, along with a variety of weapons to customize and skills to master.

　　“Our team is excited to officially announce Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and provide a glimpse into our latest project,” said Sefton Hill, Creative Director and Co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, at the time. “We’re introducing an original take on the Suicide Squad that combines the rich, character-driven storytelling Rocksteady is known for with innovative gameplay features to create a unique gaming experience.”

　　Hill has since left Rocksteady alongside co-founder Jamie Walker.
