After nearly three months of waiting, European PlayStation 3 owners will finally be able to play Super Street Fighter II HD Remix tomorrow. Capcom has announced that the game will form part of the January 19th PlayStation Store update, and will cost £11.99 in the UK and €14.99 in the rest of Europe.
The game has had a troubled path in making it to European PlayStation 3 consoles. It originally hit the North American PlayStation Network on November 25th, 2008, alongside the worldwide release on Xbox Live Arcade a day later. When we last probed Capcom UK about the issue in January, a representative told us that there was "no official word, but [we're] trying to work with Sony."
It seems that those issues have now been resolved, albeit just one day before the launch of Street Fighter IV. If you still want to get your retro Street Fighting on, then SSFIIHDR will be bringing its crisp 1080p graphics to the PS3 in Europe beginning tomorrow. You can read more about it in GameSpot's full reviews for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
