In a slightly annoying turn of events over this past weekend, I accidentally dropped my exotic, bluish-looking caterpillar in the wrong tank (the fish tank). What was I doing even picking the darn thing up, you ask? Well, sometimes in life, it's just plain interesting to pick things up. Sadly, I also randomly whacked the left trigger button on the ol' DC controller (call it a nervous twitch) and dropped the lad in the pool, presumably to drown. I hastily tried to reset the system, but it was too late. Seaman's auto-save feature basically told me "you made your bed, now lie in it, caterpillar-drowning bastard!"
Thankfully, eggs grow like dandelions in the dry cage, allowing me to hatch another crawler. I'm just waiting to see what it turns into. Bizarrely, the spiderweb that had sprouted in the top-right corner of the tank is now gone. As is the spider. I tapped on the window to make the moths fly around, in the hopes that one would get stuck on the web. When one did, it quickly disappeared, although I did not see it get wrapped in a spidery cocoon or nothin'. Regretfully, nothing came of the spider feast. No transformation or anything like that. I suspect the new "seamen" are angry at me for neglecting the fish heads. Maybe that's why they're not talking to me. Sniff. Anyway, that's all for today. I'll be back with more news on these funky little fellas as soon as they do something ripe.
