The winter movie season has officially begun today. So there's lots to see if you need a break from video games.
Starship Troopers (being brought to the PC by Microprose next year), one of the most anticipated action flicks of the year, hits movie theaters this weekend. On the other hand, so does Bean, a movie that stars everyone's favorite goofball, Rowan Atkinson. He reprises his role as the audacious, wacky Mr. Bean. As if that wasn't enough, the John Travolta/Dustin Hoffman flick Mad City opens this weekend too.
The real battle will of course be between Bean and Starship Troopers. Starship Troopers, with an R rating, will appeal to action fans immediately, but don't underestimate the power of Bean. Already said to have grossed over US$100 million worldwide, the movie has the potential to attract the younger audience - and who in their right mind doesn't like Bean?
So it's join the battle against the bugs or follow the wild adventures of Mr. Bean. Either way, it's the kickoff of the season that won't end until 1997 is over (Alien Resurrection, MK Annihilation, Anastasia, Scream 2, Titanic - where does the madness end!?).
