Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - How To Respec Skill Points-September 2024
Sep 20, 2024 6:47 AM

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has nine skill trees with their own unlockable boons. Still, given that you'll earn points from your XP gains, you might be wondering what will happen if you mess up your build. Here's our guide to help you reset or respec your skills in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

How to reset or respec skills in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

To reset or respec skills in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you'll need to interact with a Meditation Point (the same function that you use to change Lightsaber stances and fast travel). You can then select the Skills option, which is also what you access whenever you need to allocate skill points.

If you press the corresponding key (i.e., F key on PC, Y on Xbox, or Triangle on PlayStation), you'll be asked if you wish to reset your skills and refund your points. Here's the kicker: your first respec is free. However, all subsequent resets will cost one skill point. For instance, if you have a total of 20 skill points, including those that have already been allocated, you'll be refunded 19 points instead.

By the time you finish the campaign, you'll likely have all the skills you need. The whole Star Wars Jedi Survivor skill respec system might sound like a bummer at first, especially since you'll lose a point at later attempts. Then again, you won't need to worry too much. That's because the game has no level cap. As such, you can continue to gain additional skill points by filling up the XP meter (technically, this is you leveling up even though there's no level cap). For more about the ideal picks, you can head over to our best skills guide.

Moreover, sources of XP range from regular combat (i.e., taking down Stormtroopers, Bedlam Raiders, and various Droids), completing rumors/sidequests, and interacting with scan collectibles (i.e., BD1 Scans and Force Echoes). Likewise, you'll earn a ton of XP by completing Force Tears, which are portals that lead to small arenas with challenges. There are also Essences, which can increase your max HP, max Force, and XP. You can learn more in our Essence locations guide.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a massive, open-world game, with numerous facets and secrets to discover. You can learn more in our guides hub.
