Spring Split EU LCS preview for week 7-September 2024

Another week of the EU LCS approaches and we have five teams in the top three, that's right, five teams! Roccat is topping the table with 10-4 followed by Gambit Gaming who are just one win behind them. SK Gaming, Supa Hot Crew are tied for third place with a 7-7 score. We are halfway the spring split and you can easily see it again; it's a killer of a split. Team that jumps out the most is Fnatic who jumped out of the racing blocks with a seven game win streak only to crumble and fall resulting into a seven game lose streak.

Let's have a look at some of the players you definitely have to keep your eyes on:

Rekkles at a fan meet in BrusselsMartin "Rekkles" Larsson: The Fnatic wonderboy is still the number one in the KDA leaderboard and has been there for the full length of the season. There hasn't been any player yet who was able to kick him from his spot although they are getting close. Even though his team is on a losing streak, Rekkles' performance of late has been improving, keeping him in the game for the top KDA.

Oskar "Vander" Bogdan: Roccat had a bit of a hiccup last week going down to SK Gaming but it is always a joy to watch Vander play. His Thresh plays have been phenomenal, he can land skillshots like no other.

Jakub "Creaton" Grzegorzewski: Considered to be one of the strongest mechanical AD carries, Creaton has had a rough patch due to an unfortunate accident with a door. Since his recovery he has been fighting hard to become his former self again. Last week was a good start as he didn't die once, we'll see this week if he can continue his performance.

Maurice "Amazing" Stückenschneider: Last week's MVP can not be left out of this list, his Lee Sin plays were ... Amazing! Seriously, he cut through the enemies defenses with ease resulting in an open playfield for his team to close out both games of last week.

Besides these players I would like to give you some teams you should watch out for. However in the state the League is in now it's almost impossible to pick out one team. SK Gaming and Supa Hot Crew are both on the rise and have made it to a joined third place together with Fnatic. Copenhagen Wolves managed to win both games and have left Millenium and Alliance behind them to close the table, though they're not far behind. Gambit and Roccat continue their battle at the top, Gambit will be playing full force again this weekend which will result in some clutch games. Besides all this it is almost unthinkable that Fnatic would continue their 7 games loss streak.

We are set out to have another amazing week as the fight for the best team of Europe continues. We will keep you posted on the results and provide a special insight over the weekend about everything that went on in the LCS in Cologne.
