　　Vivo, the biggest telecommunications company in Brazil will be entering the esports market. Vivo, which is owned by the Spanish Telecommunication Group Telefónica, will be sponsoring Keyd Stars as their title sponsor via their Vivo Fibra brand. Vivo Fibra, as the name states, is Vivo's Fibre Internet brand and Keyd Stars has been renamed to Vivo Fibra Keyd Stars.

　　Vivo is one of the first major non endemic sponsors to enter esports in Brazil. The company has sponsored numerous sports teams and events in the past including the Brazilian national football team so Vivo’s entrance into esports marks the growing popularity of esports in Brazil.

　　Keyd Stars Coach Renan Phillip told onGamers that the main expectation of Vivo was to connect the team’s fanbase and audience to the Vivo Fibra internet service and specific promotional events that revolve around esports and Keyd Stars may be planned in the future.

　　Telecommunication and esports have generally had a mutualistic relationship, with Korea’s SK Telecom T1 and KT Rolster serving as the poster children for the relationship. T-mobile also sponsored the Evil Geniuses team for The International 4. The aforementioned examples and Vivo’s entrance into esports highlight the overlapping consumer base between telecommunication and esports industries.
