Splitfish Dual SFX Evolution Wireless and Dual SFX Frag Pro
Splitfish Dual SFX Evolution Wireless and Dual SFX Frag Pro-March 2024
Mar 19, 2025 7:46 PM

Splitfish launched two controllers for the PlayStation 3 at E3 2010, the Dual SFX Frag Pro and the Dual SFX Evolution Wireless. Both controllers have numerous features for more demanding players, and in Splitfish fashion, they are separated into two parts.

The Dual SFX Frag Pro is split into two halves, the left-hand side looks like a normal PS3 controller but is shaped to fit in your palm easily. The right side is actually a mouse that has a mouse wheel, two buttons, and the usual square, X, circle, and triangle button configuration where the back and forward mouse buttons would be located. The Dual SFX Frag Pro does not skimp on options for the gamer. It has fully customizable button mapping, adjustable rapid fire, variable analog stick sensitivity, variable mouse sensitivity, adjustable analog button sensitivity, and macro recording. The controller can also save up to seven user profiles. It's more like a PC controller slapped onto the console if anything. Splitfish has already started shipping the controller and expects wide availability in either the late summer or early fall with a price tag of $89.99 (79 Euros).

Splitfish's Dual SFX Evolution Wireless also comes in two parts, but instead of a mouse, the right side is more akin to a traditional controller. It features an analog stick but with an interesting take on the button layout. Both halves of the controller feature full Sixaxis motion control and also allow you to disable the analog sticks in favor of motion control. Like the Frag Pro, the buttons and analog sticks offer a great deal of customizability. Wireless connectivity is provided via 2.4GHz radio technology. The controller also functions with the PC. You can find the Dual SFX Evolution Wireless for $89.99 (79 Euros) currently in limited availability. Splitfish indicated that the controller should be easier to find in the early fall.
