Nintendo announced at its Space World 2001 press conference yesterday that it plans to release black metallic and orange versions of its GameCube console. These versions will be released in Japan sometime in November. The GameCube will launch in that territory in the standard indigo color. The North American launch of the GameCube is currently set for November 18.
