GameSpot News learned from informed sources that Sony will drop the price of the Dual Shock system (that is the full system with one Dual Shock controller) from US$149.99 to $129.99 on Sept 1.
When contacted, a Sony spokesperson told us that there has been no announcement concerning a price drop at this time.
