Diamond Multimedia announced earlier this week that its latest PCI audio accelerator, the Sonic Impact S70, would be shipping to retailers this week.
The price point of the Sonic, US$69.95, seems focused on competing with other low-priced ISA-based competitors.
Diamond's PCI-based sound card was designed for PC enthusiasts. The card features 64-bit voice, a DLS-compatible hardware wave-table, a few sound applications, and Windows 95/NT 4.0 drivers.
