The new god is a centaur named Chiron, who has quite a lot of utility uses. His Training Exercise ability removes crowd control effects on nearby allies and then damages nearby enemies. Masterful Shot passively marks enemies when damaged by his basic attacks or Ultimate, reducing their physical protection by 3 percent. The ability can also be activated to shoot homing arrows at marked targets to damage and slow them.
Giddyup sends Chiron forward, dealing damage and knocking up minions while still allowing him to use basic attacks. His Ultimate, Centaurus, allows him to shoot three "long-distance" shots that can go through walls (and revive him, should be killed while using the ability). Finally, his passive, Herbal Medicine, increases the healing he receives and heals a nearby ally (whomever has the lowest health within a certain range) whenever he uses an ability.
Clash, the new casual mode introduced in October on public test servers, also goes live as part of this update. It's not yet going to be a permanent addition; instead, it'll be available in the live game until December 1 in order to help Hi-Rez gather feedback it will use to decide what changes to make.
Character tweaks are relatively minor in this patch, but there is one other new feature that's particularly noteworthy. Rules on how and when players can surrender are being changed for games where a player immediately disconnects.
More specifically, if a player doesn't connect during a match's first 30 seconds, that person will have until the 5-minute mark to get in. If he or she doesn't, that player's team can choose to surrender (rather than being forced to wait the standard 10 minutes before doing so). Also changed in this scenario is that only 50 percent of the team needs to vote in favor of a surrender for it to go through.
This patch goes live on PC on November 17. You can see the full notes on Smite's website.
