Sierra Sports announced Friday that it has entered into an exclusive five-year licensing agreement with Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. Sierra is developing a line of products and will be the sole software publisher of the magazines' content, photographs, advice, trademarks, and trade names.
The first title to feature the agreement will be a deer hunting sim to be called Field & Stream Trophy Buck. Previous titles like Trophy Bass 2 Deluxe and Trophy Rivers will now carry the Field & Stream brand. Other titles to feature the brand will include two upcoming titles: Trophy Bass 3D and Trophy Marlin.
Jason E. Klein, president of Field & Stream and Outdoor Life, said in a statement: "Our mission is to bring the thrill of the outdoors into every home, and Sierra Sports' commitment to delivering authentic and realistic outdoor sports simulations go hand in hand." "Guidance and content from the experts of Field & Stream and Outdoor Life are essential as we continue to create serious outdoor sports simulations," said Sean Gleason, director of marketing for Sierra Sports. "This partnership is essential to our long-term outdoor sports strategy as we build on the success of the Trophy Bass and Trophy Rivers lines. We will depend on input from these world renowned publications for years to come, starting with our partnership in Field & Stream Trophy Buck."
Field & Stream Trophy Buck is due for release in November.
