Tribes 2's product manager, Alex Rodberg, revealed that Sierra has approved plans to hire a developer to make some additional technical and gameplay changes to the game. Once a developer is hired, work will be able to move forward to correct problems with unhandled exception errors, frame rate problems, and some minor gameplay issues. A Sierra representative told GameSpot that the company is in talks with a developer and can't release further details until the plans are finalized.
As with most popular multiplayer games, many fans have expected ongoing support for Tribes 2. However, last August Sierra closed Dynamix, the studio that developed the game, and placed responsibility for the game on a small internal team.
