Despite being the most flashy player on the team in recent months, Richard 'shox' Papillon has chosen to depart from the French team due to the increasing commitment necessary to stay in the team. The additional undertaking of staying in a gaming house and pledging to play practically every day were cited by the French star as taking too much toll on his private life.
Today a page turns: I decided to put an end to my collaboration with Titan. The Gaming house involves a lot of obligations affecting my private life so I expressed the wish not to continue in these conditions.
The departure of Papillon comes amidst a run of mixed results for the French squad, with online results staying on par but LAN results dropping. Most recently, the team dropped out of the second CS:GO major in the group stage, as well as falling short at a 5-8th finish at Copenhagen Games.
Replacing Papillon will be VeryGames veteran Kenny 'KennyS' Schrubb, who was removed from the then VG squad last year for his demeanor in the team. After playing a year with other teams, most notably Clan Mystik, he has now made his return into the line-up and is determined to make a better impact than ever:
I'm happy to announce that I have joined Titan's ranks. I became a more complete player thanks to my preceding experiences and I am ready to put down a lot of hours to help my team to reach its objectives. I would like to thank Titan for trusting me as well as Clan-Mystik for this enriching experience.
Despite their very short time to prepare, the Titan squad will travel down to the SLTV StarSeries from May 2nd through 4th to compete in the offline finals in Ukraine. They will also continue to compete in the 16th ESEA Invite season.
