At a media event in Tokyo Tuesday, Sega announced that Shining Force III is being developed for the Saturn.
The game will be made up of three parts, the first of which will be relesaed in December this year. The final two parts of the game will be released separately from spring to summer next year.
This is an indication that - at least in Japan - there is still life left in the Saturn market. Enough at least to get gamers both in Japan and, if Sega of America ports it, the US some more great games. Hopefully, Sega of America will pick this title before the Saturn is forgotten.
Unfortunately, Working Designs' current Saturn plans would erase the chances that they would persue this title.
