Servant, a psychological thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, which follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning who may or may not have the spirit of their dead child embodying a lifelike baby doll, will have its second season kick off on Apple TV+ January 15, 2021. To get you stoked for what's next for the series, a new trailer has been released. Check it out below.
As expected with all things Shyamalan, the "twist" finds the series taking a supernatural turn with the mysterious force occupying the Pennsylvania brownstone. The trailer doesn't give too much away, beyond the fact that there's still a hyper-realistic doll that's probably totally cursed.
Like Season 1, the upcoming season will span 10 episodes. The cast of Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Warcraft), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter film series, as Ron Weasley) will all reprise their characters for the second season.
In addition to Servant, Shyalaman also is reportedly working on Labor of Love, a new movie due in theaters July 23, 2021. Shyalaman is funding the production himself--and of course directing--and its cast includes Ken Leung (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Nikki Amuka-Bird (A Private War), Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road), Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit), and Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread). No plot information has been announced.
