Croatian game developer Croteam has released a new development update for its upcoming first-person shooter, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter. The latest update covers some of the game's destruction effects, such as tree destruction, as well as the game's sound engine, which will make use of the Ogg Vorbis music compression technology. The game will also support Immersion's iFeel tactile feedback technology, so players with a tactile feedback mouse and drivers will be able to feel the game's different guns and effects.
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is a sequel to GodGames' first-person shooter Serious Sam: The First Encounter, in which players must travel back in time to save the world from an evil plot. The new game includes 12 large single-player levels split into three new episodes--South America, Babylon, and the Medieval Age. It also includes more than 20 multiplayer maps and a number of multiplayer options.
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is scheduled for release in November. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and visit the official Croteam Web site.
