After reading the many reports of third-party support for the PlayStation2 throughout the last few months, one might assume that the majority of multiplatform developers has abandoned the Dreamcast to create games for the PS2. GameSpot News recently spoke with Sega of America's director of communications Charles Bellfield, to get the full story.
Bellfield paints a different picture from the print and online musings. "The software schedule for September on is amazing," he said. "Fifty percent are unannounced though." Bellfield surmised that publishers have refrained from talking about their lineups so that they could make plans to take advantage of Sega's recently announced ISP plans, and many of the titles will be revealed at this year's upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which will take place in Los Angeles early next month.
GameSpot News will cover the show and report on any and all happenings in the Sega domain.
