Sega has announced that, as of October 1, it will temporarily close its fiber optic network service net@, which is currently available in three Sega arcade centers in Tokyo. The company has cited its need to improve its network connection with other locations nationwide and its need to enhance its browser and contents as the reasons behind the temporary shutdown. The net@ service is scheduled to reopen in the spring of next year in Japan.
