Sega has announced that Hiroshi Kataoka has been tapped as the new president of Sega-AM2. Kataoka joined Sega in 1991, and he has been working as the director of Sega-AM2's top R&D division since last year. Kataoka has been involved in the production of a variety of arcade titles, ranging from Space Harrier (1985) to Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (2002).
