The Sea of Thieves Xbox Game Pass launch issue has been resolved according to developer Rare.
Rare released a full game update for Sea of Thieves yesterday, and following this update, various players Game Pass player reported to be unable to launch the title. The issue was acknowledged by Rare, and a fix was promised. We’ve included a screenshot showing the error in question below:
“Our team are currently investigating an issue affecting Game Pass players and are working to resolve it as soon as possible”, the developer wrote yesterday.
Luckily, this issue has now been fixed, and Game Pass subscribers wanting to play Sea of Thieves should be able to do so once again. “We’ve now resolved the issue with Game Pass players’ access to the game”, Rare wrote on Twitter. “Players should now be able to get into the game, if you’re not able to get in immediately, please try again soon.”
Sea of Thieves was released for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC last week.
