Wednesday, Mattel and SC&T announced that they have entered into an agreement by which SC&T will produce and market a racing steering wheel peripheral for video game consoles. Called the Hot Wheels Ultimate Per4mer Racing Wheel, the peripheral will hit store shelves in early October for an MSRP of US$89.95.
The wheel will have a three-pronged connector, and can be used with the Nintendo 64, the PlayStation, and the Saturn. It includes 17 buttons and a D-pad in a standard controller-type layout, with custom steering rotation, automatic centering, LED indicator lights, rubber racing grips and more.
Included with the wheel are pedals for fast acceleration and braking.
