Team Dignitas during Spring 2014.Team Dignitas announced the departure of their League of Legends team coach, William 'scarra' Li. The organization and the player go way back three years and have been together through thick and thin. A legendary player in his own right, scarra now leaves Dignitas in search of new opportunities.
Joining Team Dignitas on September 21st 2011, scarra came in as an iconic streamer and player from North America. Attracting attention with his infamous Katarina plays, Li was hailed as one of the premier mid laners in the region throughout Season 2 and the beginning of Season 3. Under his leadership, DIG was established as a household name, winning IPL 3 and achieving respectable placings in MLG's and Intel Extreme Masters tournament stops across the globe - New York, Cologne, Kiev. In addition, Team Dignitas was one of the few international teams invited to Azubu The Champions Summer 2012, where unfortunately, they were knocked-out in the group stages.
During Season 3 the mid laner had a respectable showing and helped his team to a 5th/6th place in the Spring and 4th place in the Summer edition of the NA LCS. As the team continued to struggle through the Spring split of Season 4, Scarra decided to take a step back and retired as a player only to become the coach of his squad. Under his guidance, Dignitas finished 5th in the Summer Split of the 2014 NA LCS by beating Counter Logic Gaming 3-1 in the deciding match.
