This week Gamespot TV invited two of the PGL's star players for the show's "In your face competition." The two contestants - Makaveli, a.k.a. Victor Jose Cuadra, and Immortal, a.k.a. Kurt Shimada - are two of the most feared Quake II players in the league.
But this wasn't just a random competition. Cuadra and Shimada have a history, as Shimada recounts: "I talked trash in the Doom 2 forum on Prodigy before I'd ever played the game," he laughs. "I was about 10, and this guy named "Victor" was talkin' so I said I'd kick his butt. He schooled me, of course, but I was hooked."
