Riddick Developer's Cut details-January 2024
Jan 30, 2025 5:51 PM

One week after it unveiled The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay Developer's Cut for PC at the World Cyber Games in San Francisco, Vivendi Universal has released gameplay and launch details for the title. The formerly Xbox-exclusive video game counterpart to this summer's feature film starring Vin Diesel, the PC version of Riddick will launch in December 2004.

The remixed game will feature an exclusive mech robot for players to stomp around in, as well as an arena stage where players can "test their survival skills against some of the most hardened criminals in the galaxy." Judging from early screens from the title, it will also support higher-resolution graphics.

"We are excited to extend the Riddick adventure in the gaming space with the release of the Developer's Cut PC version," said Bill Kispert, vice president of Interactive at Universal Studios Consumer Products Group. "Fans of Riddick will be treated to more action, more intense combat, and some very interesting behind-the-scenes detail."

Developed by Starbreeze Studios, the Developer's Cut is rated "M" for Mature and will carry an SRP of $29.95. The Chronicles of Riddick feature film, rated PG-13, will be available on DVD on November 16.
