Quantum Break, the upcoming time-bending Xbox One and PC action game, has gone gold ahead of its early April release. Remedy Entertainment creative director Sam Lake made the announcement in a video posted on Twitter today in which he celebrates with a massive bottle of champagne. Check it out.

"Going gold" is an industry term for when development on a project is "finished." Of course, games today are often supported long after their initial release, so we wouldn't expect Remedy to pack up and move on to whatever is next right away. However, specific DLC plans for Quantum Break have not yet been divulged.
Quantum Break will launch on April 5 across Xbox One and PC. The PC edition will be sold exclusively through the Windows 10 store; it will not be available on Steam.
In other news about Quantum Break, everyone who preorders the digital Xbox One edition gets a free copy of the Windows 10 PC version. The console and PC versions support shared saves, though there is no cross-play because Quantum Break is a single-player game.
