PUBG Hits 100 Million Downloads On Mobile-November 2024
Nov 1, 2024 1:40 AM

PUBG is incredibly popular on PC and console, and the mobile version is crushing it as well. Developer PUBG Corp. and publisher Tencent announced that the mobile version has crossed 100 million downloads just four months after releasing in March. The number is actually much bigger than that, as it doesn't count downloads in China, Japan, and Korea.

According to Tencent and PUBG Corp., PUBG's mobile edition was the "most-download mobile game" in 100-plus countries for its launch week. The companies also announced that the game sees around 14 million daily active users, which is a massive figure.

Now Playing: PUBG's Creator Talks Mobile, Mods, And More

"We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year," PUBG mobile boss Vincent Wang said in a statement.

Neither Tencent nor PUBG Corp. disclosed how much the game's mobile edition is bringing in from microtransactions. However, a report from SensorTower says the game was pulling in around $650,000 per day thanks in part to the launch of the new Royale Pass.

Fortnite's mobile edition is also a huge hit. It reportedly passed 100 million downloads in July, with $2 million in daily average revenue.

In other news, Fortnite's mobile edition recently launched a crossover promotion with Mission Impossible: Fallout that brings clothing, gear, and music from the movie to the game.
