Ramping up for the late-September release of Wipeout 3, Psygnosis has co-sponsored the Global Underground Tour, a nationwide club tour featuring DJ Sasha. The tour has already bounced from Axis in Boston, Mass., to Milk Bar in Jacksonville,Fla. and Guverment in Ontario and will wrap up at Spundae in San Francisco, Calif., on Sunday, July 4.
Sasha was named as musical director of Wipeout 3 earlier this year and will produce five song for the title as well as help select other musical talents for the game.
"I've always been a fan of the Wipeout series and the combination of high-speed racing and cutting edge design makes Wipeout 3 a perfect fit for the type of music I produce," says DJ Sasha. "The series has always had a huge underground following - I'm certain that the crossover between the people who listen to my music and those who enjoy games like Wipeout is enormous."
At the show, Psygnosis will be showing Wipeout 3 in game pods to clubgoers and will show the game at other clubs throughout the summer and early fall.
