Sony has released the latest update for the Sony PlayStation 3's firmware, upgrading it to version 1.31. Like previous updates, Sony has not exactly explained what the new patch does. As of press time, the PS3 system update page is still showing information on the last update, version 1.3. Scouring the forums at the official PlayStation 3 site, it appears many gamers are also wondering what the patch does. However, some are convinced that the update adds support for Final Fantasy XI, which Sony previously said it would add in a future PS3 update.
