Sony has announced the release of a new system software update for the PS Vita. Titled Version 3.00, the update will include a new application titled PS4 Link, which enables PS Vita owners to connect to the PlayStation 4 to access the Remote Play and Second Screen features.
Detailed on the official PlayStation blog, the update will also introduce new settings for photo taking, the ability to connect with the PS Vita to the PlayStation 3 via Wi-Fi, and user interface changes to various applications.
Sony did not reveal when the update will be live.
Sony's next-generation PlayStation 4 console is due out on November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe, and in 32 countries in all by the end of the year. The console will be released in Japan in February 2014.
