Valve's critically acclaimed action puzzle game Portal is coming to Nvidia's Android-powered Shield portable gaming device, it was announced today. Upon its launch, said to be "soon," Portal will join the 300+ Shield-supported Android games currently available for the platform.
Nvidia announced the news today during its GPU Technology Conference (via the Nvidia blog), where the company also revealed a super high-end $3000 graphics card.
"Nvidia has created a very powerful and unique device with Shield," Valve's Doug Lombardi said in a statement. "Our companies have a strong history working together and we're looking forward to Portal's arrival on Shield."
The Nvidia Shield is available today for $200. If you have a compatible GeForce GTX GPU, you can even stream games like Borderlands 2 and Batman: Arkham Origins from your PC to the Shield through Nvidia's GameStream technology.
