Toy fanatics, get your spendin' cash ready. The 1999 Toy Fair is scheduled to gear up next week, but already Hasbro has announced some of its plans for the show, including new toys in the Furby and Pokemon lines.
Furby will be updated with several new lines, as well as being able to speak five different languages - French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Hasbro will also be making seasonal Furbys and more special edition models of the electronic pet.
Pokemon's success on TV is translating into plans to bring more toys to the US. Hasbro will introduce new Pokemon bean-filled plush toys, a large Pikachu plush character and Pokemon Roll-Along Stampers and Micro Playsets. Hasbro will begin "retiring" previous Pokemon toys as the new ones get introduced.
