Pocket Fighter, Capcom's latest arcade-to-console conversion, takes the short, cutesy characters from Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and puts them in a fighting game. So it's a fighter, based on a puzzle game, which was based on a fighting game. The result is a near-perfect translation of the arcade version.
The gameplay is nearly the same as Capcom's last several fighting games, only it has been completely simplified, using only three buttons as opposed to other games' six.
One has to wonder how long Capcom can keep pumping out derivative products before the public finally gives up on the Street Fighter franchise altogether.
