Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin will be joining the North American LCS next year as the starting ad carry for Curse, the team confirmed today. The move comes after weeks of speculation which stemmed from our initial report about Curse owner Steve "LiquiD112" Arhancet offering Piglet an offer.
“I thank Team Curse for giving me an awesome chance to play as a pro again, If I reach Worlds next year, I would be a member of Team Curse. I'll play my best so Team Curse can become the world champions of Season 5.”
Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jinCurse's signing of Piglet is the most high profile signing of a North American team to date. Piglet is a two-time OGN champion and was awarded the best ad carry award at the 2013 Korean esports awards. He's also a World Champion.
“Having Piglet on our team is going to be huge. He has shown that he is a force to be reckoned with on the highest stages. He will bring an unmatched work ethic that we hope will spread like wildfire through the rest of our players. From what I hear, he is a coach’s dream player, which means working with him will be very easy for Peter Zheng and Mark Zimmerman, our head coach and head analyst. I think the acquisition of Piglet can only help us with creating a winning culture and growing the Team Curse fan base internationally, as well as here in North America (NA). We are so happy to have a world champion on our team.”

I simply can't wait to practice again. With the arrival of Piglet, I will need to prove again that I still have what it takes to be among the best and I will work to push our bot lane to become world class. There are many obstacles in the way of this path and this is one challenge I'm excited to meet head on.
