Back in early June, a scan of an unidentified magazine showed what was upcoming on Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade plate. At the time, the accuracy of the information was questionable, and it has since proved both hit (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Chapter 2 was revealed) and miss (Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting in June).
One more hit was confirmed today, as Microsoft has announced that the Style Pack for Project Gotham Racing 3 is now available for download. The Style Pack costs 400 Marketplace points, or $5.
There are 12 cars (listed below) in the download, as well as the new minigames Free Roam Points, Team Free Roam Points, and Cat and Mouse. Those who download the pack will also get Photo Mode integration, allowing them to show off their best moments online.
Microsoft has also answered the call of gamers who like to handpick their downloadable content. In addition to picking up all the new content for 400 points, users can download each car individually for 60 points ($.75) each. The following is a list of the new cars in the Style Pack:
BMW M6 (2006)
BMW Z8 (2001)
BMW M3 CSL (2003)
BMW MINI COOPER S (2005)
Gumpert Apollo Coupe 4.2 V8 (2005)
2005 Chrysler Firepower Concept
Ferrari 365 GTB4 "Daytona" (1968)
Ferrari F430 Challenge (2006)
Mercedes CLK DTM AMG (C209)
Pagani Zonda F (2005)
RUF R.K. Spyder 3.8 (2006)
Vanwall GPR V12 (2006)
In addition to the new content, Achievement360Points.com has word that four new achievements have been added to the game, bringing the total number of gamerscore points up to an even 1,000.
Project Gotham Racing 3 is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and retails for $49.99. For more on the game, race over to GameSpot's review.
