Activision today announced that Madagascar: Operation Penguin is now available in stores for the Game Boy Advance. This is the latest game in Activision's deal with DreamWorks to make games based on DreamWorks' animated films. The publisher has also released games featuring characters from Shrek, A Shark's Tale, and the upcoming Over the Hedge.
In the game, players take control of Private the Penguin, who recently liberated himself from a New York zoo. Gamers will encounter other critter characters, including porcupines, crocodiles, and walruses as they play through 18 missions to try to reach Madagascar. The film's other heroes also get their own levels in the game.
Operation Penguin was developed by Activision subsidiary Vicarious Visions (handheld versions of Ultimate Spider-Man, Tony Hawk's American Sk8land), headquartered in Troy, New York. The game is rated E for Everyone and retails for $29.99.
