This week's ELSPA official UK game sales chart as compiled by Chart-Track sees SCEE's EyeToy: Play retaining the number one position for a third successive week. The asking price for EyeToy: Play was recently reduced from £39.99 ($62) to £24.99 ($40) in the UK, and it's surely no coincidence that a further three of the games occupying the top five positions are those that have been recently added to the PS2's midpriced Platinum range of best-sellers. This week's new entries cost, on average, around twice as much as the Platinum titles, and so the chart currently sees older games such as FIFA 2003, Medal of Honor: Frontline, and Lord of the Rings: Two Towers reclaiming positions toward the top of the chart, ahead of new arrivals The Great Escape and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.
