　　The entire cast of the upcoming Star Wars movie, Episode VII, was officially revealed today. This isn't strictly gaming news, but given the recent announcement that all Star Wars content going forward, including the games will be part of the Star Wars canon, this has larger implications for the Star Wars universe as a whole (including the games).

　　Also, we're pretty big Star Wars fans here at GameSpot.

　　Some of these actors will undoubtedly play some role in the in-progress games from Electronic Arts in some form another. However, EA has been clear that they are not making games based explicitly on the films.

　　Cast members new to Star Wars include:

　　John Boyega (Attack the Block)Daisy Ridley (Blue Season, Scrawl)Adam Driver (HBO series Girls)Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis, Drive) Andy Serkis (Gollum in The Lord of the Rings)Domhnall Gleeson (Boy Eats Girl, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows)Max von Sydow (The Seventh Seal, The Exorcist)And the returning original stars include:

Abrams said, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performerscome together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
