James Woods and Lolita Davidovich are the latest Hollywood actors to step onto the interactive soundstage.
Woods (Ghosts of Mississippi, True Believer, Disney's Hercules) and Davidovich (Blaze, Intersection) have been tapped to star in Of Light and Darkness - the prophecy, a real-time adventure game being put together by Tribal Dreams, a division of Interplay.
Woods takes on the role of a character named Gar Hob the Dark Lord of the Seventh Millennium, whilst Davidovich will portray Angel Gemini, "a former Las Vegas showgirl who receives a vision of the apocalypse and sets out to stop Gar Hob from entering the world as the Antichrist."
In Of Light and Darkness, player-characters set out to redeem "infamous apparitions" including Elvis, Ivan the Terrible, and Caligula; rescue Angel from the clutches of Gar Hob; and foil Gar Hob's evil plans to plunge the world into a thousand years of darkness just in time for the millennium.
A spring release is expected for the game.
