NVIDIA is kicking off a new game remastering program to add Ray Tracing effects to classic PC games from the past decades.
As picked up by DSOGaming, NVIDIA is looking for an experienced producer to join the NVIDIA Studios team to lead the production on an RTX Remaster project. According to the job listing, NVIDIA is “cherry-picking some of the greatest titles from the past decades and bringing them into the ray-tracing age, giving them state-of-the-art visuals while keeping the gameplay that made them great”.
Following the recent release of the ray-traced reimagining of Quake II RTX, NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios will be initiating the challenge by bringing a fan-favorite but secret title.

NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios was founded back in 2015 to remaster and remake classic PC games to bring them to Android devices.
More information about NVIDIA’s new Ray Tracing remastering program hasn’t been shared, but we’ll update as soon as we learn more.
