Codemasters has announced the release of Insane, the off-road racing game created by Hungarian developer Invictus. The game features seven game modes: off-road race, capture the flag, destruction zone, jamboree, gate hunt, pathfinder, and return the flag. Players choose from more than 25 unique off-road vehicles, including 4x4s, pickups, full-size trucks, and custom-built off-road vehicles. In addition, the game features real-time damage modeling that affects the performance and appearance of the vehicles. Races take place in a variety of environments ranging from the green hills of Ireland to the rocky canyons of Colorado. A multiplayer mode supports up to eight players over a LAN or Internet connection.
Insane will soon arrive in stores for a suggested retail price of $29.99. For more information about the game, read our preview and try out the playable demo. We'll post a full review of the game soon.
