NPDFunworld issued a release today detailing the 20 best-selling games for the month of November. Even though it was released mid-month, Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2 took the top sales spot. Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III held on to its second-place position from October, and Luigi's Mansion and Halo debuted on the November charts at three and four, respectively.

In addition to the monthly sales chart, NPD also reported that total industry sales--which include hardware, software, and accessories sales--are clocking in at $6.4 billion for the year to date. By comparison, the industry did $4.7 billion in business from January 2000 to November 2000. Software sales this month are up 28 percent when compared with November 2000.
