The Nintendo Switch console has only been released last year, and there's already an emulator that's able to boot up some commercial games released for the latest Nintendo console.
The emulator, called RyujiNX, is currently able to boot up some Nintendo Switch commercial games like Cave Story and Puyo Puyo Tetris, an impressive feat considering how young the console is. A couple of videos showing the two games booting up have also been shared, and you can check them out below.
Ryujinx boots Cave Story! Works almost flawlessly except for the fact that it's slow and HID doesn't work with official games, sped up because I'm pretty sure you don't want to see 10 mins of lag.
Ryujinx boots Puyo Puyo Tetris! Freezes after the Tetris screen fades out.
As the emulator is still in a very early stage of development, don't expect to be able to play Nintendo Switch games like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey on your PC anytime soon. Considering how quickly another Nintendo console emulator, the Cemu Wii U emulator, improved in a short amount of time, it wouldn't be surprising to see select games being playable on the emulator in a few months.
