Devil May Cry 5 Gets New Details On V Combat Style; Resident Evil 2 Remake Classic SFX Mode Showcased-October 2024

New details have come in today for Devil May Cry 5, the new entry in the series launching early next year on PC and consoles in all regions.

The new details have been revealed during today's Capcom TV episode, where Hideaki Itsuno and Matt Walker talked more about V's fighting style, which will be quite different from Nero's and Dante's. The character will fight with the help of three familiars, Nightmare, Griffon and Shadow, but the team is making sure to make controlling V feel not too different from controlling the other two characters. Apparently, V will also have lower health than Dante and Nero, and he can be staggered during combat, forcing players to approach battles differently than they do with Nero and Dante. Additionally, Nightmare is tied to V's Devil Trigger, and he will act independently until V rides him.

Some new Resident Evil 2 Remake footage has also been shown during today's Capcom TV Episode. The footage showcases some alternate costumes for all characters as well as the classic sound effects, which can be switched on and off at any time during the game.

Xbox One owners can get a taste of Devil May Cry 5 right now thanks to the exclusive playable demo. The demo allows players to try out Nero and see how his moveset differs from the one seen in Devil May Cry 4.

Devil May Cry 5 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 8th.
